On the afternoon of August 19 in Hanoi, a cooperation agreement on research and training in the fields of cryptography and information security was signed between the Institute of Cryptographic Science and Technology under the Government Cipher Committee and the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM). The five-year agreement aims to promote specialized mathematical research in cryptography, advance cryptographic science and technology, and focus particularly on post-quantum cryptography.

On August 23 in Phu Tho, the Government Cipher Committee organized the Sports Tournament to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Cipher Sector (September 12, 1945 – September 12, 2025). On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2), the 80th anniversary of the Military Cipher Force’s Traditional Day, and the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese Cipher Sector’s Traditional Day (September 12, 1945 – September 12, 2025), the Department of Cipher under the General Staff organized a “march back to the roots” program in Thai Nguyen Province on August 24. In accordance with Plan No. 02-KH/BCĐTW of the Central Steering Committee on the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation to promote fast, effective, synchronized, and interconnected digital transformation in the political system, recently, a working delegation from the Government Cipher Committee, led by the Committee's Chairman, General Vu Ngoc Thiem, conducted an inspection and evaluation of the implementation of security measures for sending and receiving classified documents on the shared operational software used by Party agencies in several communes and wards in Ninh Bình Province.
