Closing Ceremony of Military Music Exchange 2024: “Music connects friendship”
(Bqp.vn) - On the evening of December 22, the closing ceremony of the 2024 Military Music Exchange with the theme "Music connects friendship" took place at the Vietnam Military History Museum. Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Exchange; Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. Regarding international delegates, there was Comrade Ha Vi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Vietnam.

The 2024 Military Music Exchange is one of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day; contributing to promoting the country, people and the Vietnam People's Army to the Army and international friends, especially countries in the ASEAN bloc. At the same time, the event provided an opportunity to enhance understanding, trust, and strengthen solidarity and friendship between the armies of the countries.

In his closing speech, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia assessed that after nearly 10 days of preparation and exciting performances, the 2024 Military Music Exchange was a great success. Despite the short practice time and continuous performance schedule, the forces overcame difficulties, contributing to the success of this exchange. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia stated that the military music troupes of the countries performed pieces that inspired friendship with the Army and People of Vietnam; at the same time, they were also welcomed by the Vietnamese people with feelings of closeness, hospitality, love of peace, solidarity and friendship. The success of the exchange affirmed the solidarity and cooperation for a peaceful world of the Vietnam People's Army towards international friends.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia emphasized that in the coming time, implementing the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification of international relations of the Party and State of Vietnam, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense will continue to promote and strengthen defense relations, including the cultural field, for the goal of peace, cooperation, friendship and mutual development with the armies of countries around the world.
At the closing ceremony, delegates and people enjoyed special art performances, a blend of music and dance. With pride, arrogance, strong patriotism and a desire to contribute, singers, dancers and musicians from military bands of various countries brought emotional melodies, imbued with the spirit of solidarity, international friendship, associated with the history, culture and noble values of the armies of various countries.
